Suggestions
Suggestion thread. (I'm really good at making threads aren't I?)
-Have the site tab be the default tab open (as your more likely to want to go to the forums, then to your account for example)
-More forums. (General, Games [TF2,L4D,anything else], Guns, etc)

Working on a bunch of stuff already, but I can fix the navigation tab default quickly...
This is the current to-do list:
-Set up Dash to use existing media if possible
-Paypal donation module
-Fix forum text overlap
-Banner, 403, 404 pages
-Avatar support isn't 100%, need some default pics
-Avatar gallery
-Expand forum features
-Set up profile fields
-Set up member blogs
-Plug blogs into tab-nav
Oh and a favicon for the site too.
+ Jump indicator for stories and blog post content types.
I also noticed that the Subject line is indistinguishable from the rest of a post, might want to look into that.
Avatars on front page comments stick out of the comment box kinda wonky too. Also on front page story blocks, there could be some space between the avatar and text body. Right now they're practically touching and it looks kind of bleh.
The navbar links got bumped up about half the height of the bar, so it's offset vertically. When I was in the admin section earlier it didn't seem to do it though.
as far as the right side bar:
oh and mehhhh member blogs? :-\ blogger is free, they can do that. forums can be used for personal "news" and the blogs saved for game/server/site/community news on the front page.
If you can work out a decent way to do dropdown type menus for the nav bar at the top, go for it. I couldn't figure out how to get sub-section tabs on pages like Server Resources to split it into different game sections.
Recent comments and newbies were just thrown in to test the tab system. Piling more than 2 tabs into a sidebar quicktab gets wonky so I split them into pairs.
The "who's online" and forum activity are their own blocks in Drupal anyway, can easily replace tabs with blocks. I liked the tabs because you can easily switch between different blocks without having them all cluttering up the sidebar. A way to expand/collapse sidebar blocks would be excellent, if we really must dispose of the tabs.
The white line works fine when the nav links are on the top bar, feel free to change the color up.
Blog posts aren't front page news, they'll get their own section. If there's enough interest from regulars (I'd bet E would use it) I'll think on it more.
i'll mess around with it a bit today at work.
re:blogs:
thats what the general forum is for. i really think with the forum that blog comments and especially user blogs are way overkill.
I think there's a module or something to connect story/blog post comments to the forum, like a "discussion" link that replaces normal comment threads with a link to an automatically generated forum thread in the News section, etc.
That would be fine I think.
I really like that idea, that way you can just flood your own blog instead of the forums. xD
